NLDS 2006

I got some last minute tickets to Game 1 of the National League Division Series and saw the Padres lose to the evil Cardinals.. It's amazing how Petco park can make a mediocre pitcher look like Cy Young. Posted by Picasa

Flogging Molly

My roommate was working a beer booth at the Southern Confort Music Experience this weekend so I dedcided to check it out on Saturday. It was free to get in and Flogging Molly was playing so it was worth a shot. I've had a mild interest in them and have always heard that they were one of those bands that you just had to see live to really "get". I'll tell you right now, that is the understatement of the year. They were awesome and the engergy they brought to the stage was truely amazing to witness. If you ever get the chance to watch them play do not pass it up, it's worth it! Posted by Picasa

Def Leppard

Jill had free tickets to the Def Leppard and Journey concert at Coors Ampitheater last night. I have to admit it was pretty fun even though I didn't have nearly enough ripped denim on.

Bluesapalooza

Went to Mammoth last weekend for their big bluesapalooza bash. This is an annual event that hosts a blues and microbrew festival. It was a ton of fun and I was amazed at how many local breweries were there representing San Diego. Stone and Alesmith are still my personal favorites but there were many others that were right up there with them. If you are near San Diego on September 9th I highly recommend attending Stone Breweries' 10th Anneversary bash.

WBC

Hi All-

So I haven't been all that dilligent with updating this damn blog it seems. I'll try to remedy that in the future. This picture is from the finals of the World Baseball Classic which was held at Petco Field in San Diego. I was dissapointed that The U.S. didn't make the finals but it was a fun game nonetheless and interesting to see the Cuban and Japanese cultures take on the "American pastime". I think this event has a big future and could one day be as popular as soccers world cup. Posted by Picasa

A Little Late To The Dance

I'm probably the last person in Southern California to have their own Blog but I figure better late than never. I think we've gotten past the point of this being a fad so I thought I had better see what all the fuss was about. Honestly the main reason I'm doing this is all the buzz I'm hearing about "Web 2.0" lately.

I have to admit I was fascinated with the concept, and while reading about all these new Web 2.0 companies I was amazed at how many were Blog related. Some of the business plans made sense to me while others left me wondering what the hell they were since I had no actual blogging experience. Since I'm a "techie" at heart and work somewhat indirectly in the internet space I decided it would be worth some time and effort to get to know this medium we call the Blog. I'm not quite sure what I plan to do here but I hope it is at least entertaining.
